Almost 1am. Just getting ready to sleep. I am using Sir Hiso’s laptop. I left mine back home. I can’t put it in the bike box with my clothes kaya I decided to leave it. 2 box lang pala ang allowed ng PAL at isang hand carry. Dahil 2 na ang box ko containing my road and track bike, I have to pay for my luggage. To avoid paying $200 fine for my maleta. I put all my clothes in the bike box. hehehehe. Buti na lang I have large rolls of packaging tape. Improvise! I got here with only 2 bike boxes and a back pack. hehehe. Wala na ang tape dahil kinuha na sa airport. Bawal pala yun. Baka gamitin pang hostage. hehehe. Pero binilan na ako ni Sir ng bag para d nagkalat ang gamit sa hotel. Ok lang yun, mag travel na ng walang dalang damit kesa maiwan si Sixto. hehehe. Pero maawain talaga si Sir. Binilan na ako ng bag. Dami na namin pictures. Pero naiwan ko ang usb cable kaya d makapag upload. I’ll try to borrow usb cable so I can upload the pictures. Sobra ganda ng indoor velodrome dito. Pero medyo maliit, 250m lang kaya nakakatakot dami kasi semplangan. Thank you sa Adobovelo para sa all out support nila sa amin ni Steve. 2nd heat kami kasama ko sila Iijima at 2 exworld champion si newton at tauler.Start palang ng race talagang napakatulin na,ang pwesto ko lagi top 5 sa likod. I dont have the legs and also dont have the wind to stay at the front So i stay behind and wait for somebody to attack but stil i cant do it. Nagwawarm up palang ako bago magpoints race ay nararamdaman kona mabigat talaga ang pakiramdam ko. Imagine I sleep only 4.5 hours lang everyday kasi maaga lagi ako nagigising nde pa makapag adjust masyado sa oras ng tulog bukod dun ay kulang talagasa pahinga at preparasyon. Mahirap pala ang jet lag. I placed 13th in the qualifying race ngpoints race, na I thought I cant finish the race talaga. Masaya naman si Manager Hiso about what happen kasi 2 lang kami nung isang Hong Kong ang hindi naoverlap sa karera, the rest ay overlap lahat. I felt like riding in the ferris wheel sa sobrang biling ng karera. Nandun ang mga malalaking pangalan ng mga siklista mula sa ibat ibang bansa. Kung napaghandaan ko lang sana ng maaga siguro di lang yun ang aking performance. Isang maganda na namang experience ito para sa mga darating ko pa na karera.
According to the organisers of the UCI World Cup Track Cycling in LA, the number of participants increased more than twice than last year’s. Due to high turn out of participants, schedules were changed to earlier start times for the qualifying races.

January 16, Wednesday. I will be leaving for LA tonight. All expenses paid by my long time benefactor, Mr. Rolando Hiso. It is a relief that I can finally confirm it. I was restraining myself to answer emails and questions about my participation in the world cup because I was not sure if I can make it on time. Unnecessary delays, I dont know if it’s deliberate or purely coincidence, undelivered emails, super duper ultra electro magnetic decaying entry. Todo todo na late na entry kaya late lahat, invitation at appointments. Pati na rin ang post ko. hehehe. I already gave up and even told the organizers that I can not bear the red tape anymore, este make it on time pala hehehe. (more…)
