Showing Off

November 18, Sunday. I and my family went to a car show in SMX Convention Center near SM Mall of Asia. I went there primarily to visit Sixto, Cannondale Six13, and secondly to look at the cars. This was he first time I went to a car show so I do not know what to expect and I was also wondering what my bike is doing there.

About a week before the show, my personal sponsor Cannondale Philippines and Newton Multi Sales informed me about the event and asked me if I can lend them the bike so it can be displayed. In return, they lend me another Cannondale frame I can use while Sixto is in the show.Before handing Sixto to Mr. Shane Chin, I gave it thorough cleaning. I also put car wax for the extra shine hehehe. To make everything easier, I wore a worn out sock as a cleaning glove. Mas madali na maglinis, nagkasilbi pa ang mga patapon ko na maluluwag na medyas hehehe.

We went to SMX in the last day of the show. Gaganda ng mga kotse! Pero syempre hanggang tingin na lang ako hehehe. Then we found the booth of the bikes and frames on show. And there was Sixto. I was amazed as I look at it. Nagulat ako talaga sabay bulong ke misis, ” Ang ganda talaga parang d akin”. As I was looking at it mounted high on a stand, I can’t believe that it was the bike I am using almost everyday for more than a year already. I am really lucky that there are people who trust and believe in me to let me use the best equipment I can never afford. I am very grateful. And then I realized I am a fan. A fan of my most loyal teammate. The bike, Sixto.
