I left for Bangkok, Thailand on September 6, Thursday, on board a Philippine Airlines Flight at 10:45 in the morning. There were 10 of us in the team - a PSC official, 2 coaches, a mechanic, 4 senior cyclists, and a junior cyclist. Walang supplies at allowance. Kanya-kanyang bayad ulit pati sa mga uniforms. Pagbalik na lang daw ibibigay ang allowance. I do not dwell on this too much. Buti na lang Mr. Washington Ong of Newton Multisales and Cannondale Philippines provided me a pair of tires. I also brought powerbars given by Sir Hiso a couple of months ago. I am saving those for emergency cases tulad ngayon. I arrived at the airport around 7am with a full stomach. While waiting for our flight something good happened. A congresswoman from Laguna learned about our situation and gave our group 5,000 pesos. Salamat po mam! Mam Judith Caringal also called, and interviewed our group. (more…)
September 12, Wednesday.
A few days before I left for Thailand, there were a lot of bad news and annoying issues. I just ignored it and hope it will just naturally go away. At syempre, mahirap pumadyak ng may inaalala. Pero parang sinusundan yata ako talaga. Maalat ako. Siguro dahil malapit na. Sana naman lumipas na agad. Todong dasal ang kailangan. (more…)
Victor finished 7th overall in the individual time trial last September 8, Saturday. There were 17 cyclists, 2 entries per country were allowed. Victor was the lone Filipino rider. Cyclists from Kyrgyzstan, Iran and Kazakstan took the first three spots followed by cyclists from Vietnam, Indonesia, and Japan. In the 197km massed start event yesterday, September 10 Victor was in the chasing group far behind the 10-man breakaway. The team will be arriving today at 6:20 in the evening.
The whole family is very thankful that Victor finished the race safely while his son, wife, mama and uncle were unhurt from a vehicular accident yesterday afternoon.

September 5, Wednesday. Tomorrow morning I’ll be leaving again for Thailand to join the Asian Cycling Championships Road Events. I’ll be competing in ITT and massed start. The ITT will be held on September 8, Saturday. I decided to use my trusted and dependable Cannondale Six-13 road bike. I had it set up by the team mechanic for the itt. On September 10, Monday, I will be competing with 5 of my team mates in massed start. I will also be using Sixto in this event. I would also like to thank the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Army, Mr. Washington Ong of Newton MultiSales and Cannondale Philippines, Mr. Shane Chin, TransPhil Corporation, and Mr. Rolando Hiso and Family for beleiving in me. Pagdasal nyo po sana kami ulit for a safe and successful race.
September 5, Wednesday. I was informed last Monday, September 3 (supposed departure day) that I wont be competing in the track events.
