9:15 PM September 2, Sunday. I stayed on the bed until around 9am. I seldom have the chance to this, to be able to sleep as much as I want to. Medyo nasarapan sa pagtulog dahil sa wakas natapos ko na rin ang matagal ko ng hindi matapos-tapos na gawain. Nabawasan din ng alalahanin. I decided to take it easy for today. For physical recovery din sa mga mahahabang byahe habang umuulan. Iwas sakit. A short rest after a busy week.

After a light breakfast, I had an easy ride to QC Circle about 19km away. Okay lang naman na past 10am na ako nakalis sa bahay dahil makulimlim naman at presko. Tanghali na rin pala nagstart ang weekend race kaya nakasabay pa ako sa last 5 laps. After the race diretso na ako umuwi. Pag dating sa bahay, I spend an hour doing some intervals on my roller. Pampagutom lang hehehe.

Sunday meals are special for my family. All members are present kaya special lagi ang lunch. I had nilagang ribs with extra serving of vegetables and rice. After a heavy lunch, I spend some time with my son. He misses me a lot. At talagang nagdedemand na ng time. Malaki na talaga. He is firm in imposing that everybody calls him Victor, V-I-C-T-O-R. Strictly, no more Buk, or Buknoy. He made this very clear or else he will call anyone who calls him Buk or Buknoy the same name. He even calls one of his lolo, Lolo Buknoy. hehehe. When asked why he doesn’t want to be called by his nickname again, he simply answered ” Ang pangit!”. hehehe.

After playing with Victor, I had an afternoon nap. Pagkagising around 4pm, linis ng bike at meryenda ng pandesal at kesong puti. By 5pm, I was driving with my son and my wife to our house in Nova. It is during this kind of short trips and joy rides lang ako nakakabawi sa mag-ina ko. Kung saan-saan lang. Dati madalas kami sa Sunken every weekends. Nakakamiss din. Minsan, naiisip ko, sobrang tulin ng panahon na baka hindi ko mamalayan sa susunod kabado na akong daddy na nanonood sa anak ko sa kahit anong sport na gustuhin nya. Kanina lang tinatanong nya ako, ” Dad, when I’m taller, will I also race on my bike like you?” Na sinagot ko naman ng ” Yes, if you want to.” At sumagot naman ng ” Okay, you buy me a new bike.” Umandar na naman ang kakulitan.

Before 8pm, we were already back in mama’s house. We had our dinner of roasted chicken and some soup and vegetables. I had a small slice of plain New York cheesecake. Sarap! After dinner, I prepared my things for tomorrow. Then, took a hot bath with Victor. After writing this on my journal, I will go to sleep. At bukas Lunes, palakasan na naman ng tiis at sa masasarap at pampalakas na pagkain sa mga carinderia sa Roces.
