July15, Sunday. The open elite category started later than the previous leg. There were a lot of categories for the juniors and the masters. It was already past 2pm ng umpisahan ang huling karera. Unlike the first leg, the participants in the last race where quite few. Maybe it was because of the bad weather a couple of days before the race.
The race was quite short so I expected an early break away attempts. But, there were continous attacks from the group at may nakasabit na isa pa sa 2 leaders. After a few laps of chasing, the leaders were caught by the group. Nang mabuo ang grupo, Carlo Jasul started an attacked checked by Irish Valenzuela and Erik Feliciano. The group let them get away so I decided to chase them ng mapansin kong clear and the pace was slow. I was checked by Warren.
Pagbuka ni Erik, I chased Irish. Don’t have a choice dahil mukhang wala naman silang balak habulin si Irish. Sa isip ko sacrifice na lang. We caught Irish in the last 500meters. I waited for the others to sprint para sabayan ko na lang. Warren took the sprint, followed by Jasul. I was 3rd. Irish was 4th while Erik took the 5th place.
