July 27, Friday. Two of my favorites withdrew from Tdf. Astana, who led the team standing withdrew after Vino tested positive, so Kashechkin was also out. Rasmussen on the other hand, was sent home by his team after lying about his whereabouts and failing to undergo 2 unannounced doping test before the tour. A very sad and embarassing way to lose. But as a pro, I understand how they feel. I know how it feels like to be pressured. In my 15 years of cycling career, so far I haven’t been tested positive in any doping tests. July 17, Tuesday. Le Tour De France is already in its 9th stage. I got a comment from Iphex, asking kung nakakasunod ba ako sa tour and who’s my favorite. Hmmm….. medyo mahirap sagutin dahil hindi ako masyadong updated. I was able to watch an episode in ESPN pero prologue lang yata yun. hehehe. Nasasabay kasi yung time slot sa ensayo at bihira pa akong makauwi sa bahay. Nagbabasa na lang ako ng news sa internet at paminsan-minsan nanonood sa youtube. Pero tulad ng kahit na sinong siklista, may mga favorites din ako kahit na hindi masyadong nasusubaybayan ang tour. (more…)

July15, Sunday. The open elite category started later than the previous leg. There were a lot of categories for the juniors and the masters. It was already past 2pm ng umpisahan ang huling karera. Unlike the first leg, the participants in the last race where quite few. Maybe it was because of the bad weather a couple of days before the race. (more…)
July 14, Saturday. Matagal tagal din ako naghibernate, noong nakaraang buwan at ngayon July. Masyado na kasing busy at madalang na lang nakakauwi sa bahay. At medyo may mga inaasikaso din ako sa kampo na matagal-tagal na din pero hindi ko pa natatapos. Hindi nga pala natuloy ang alis ng team para makasali sa World B sa South Africa. Don’t know why. May isa pa sanang scheduled race abroad, Tour of Indonesia, this coming August. Nung una it seemed almost sure that the roadies are joining, pero di ulit tuloy. No explanations were given. Anyway, no need to cry over spilled milk. Sana lang matuloy yung sa Thailand. (more…)
